Usage Policy
These Purchase Terms & Conditions apply to digital products purchased from Pause & Discuss. By completing a purchase, you agree to the terms below.
1. Digital products
Pause & Discuss provides downloadable educational and activity resources, including session plans, printable materials, discussion prompts and related resources.
All products are supplied in digital format unless otherwise stated. No physical product will be shipped.
2. Payment
Payment is due at the time of purchase and will be processed through the payment provider available at checkout.
Prices are displayed before purchase. Any applicable taxes will be calculated and displayed at checkout where required.
3. Digital delivery
After successful payment, your digital product will be made available for download using the delivery method shown at checkout.
Please download and save your purchased files for your records.
If you experience a technical problem accessing or opening a purchased file, please contact Pause & Discuss using the contact information provided on our website so that we can help resolve the issue.
4. Refunds
Because our products are digital files that are made available immediately after purchase, purchases are generally non-refundable once the product has been delivered or downloaded.
However, if you receive the wrong product, a file is defective, or you experience a technical problem that prevents you from accessing the resource, please contact us and we will make reasonable efforts to resolve the issue.
Nothing in this policy limits any rights or remedies available to you under applicable consumer law.
5. Digital product license
Each purchase grants the purchaser a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the purchased resource within one household, classroom, group, or physical location.
The purchaser may print and reproduce the materials as reasonably needed for participants.
For professional use, the resource may also be shared with coworkers or team members working at the same physical location. For example, staff members within one school, senior living community, activity department, or similar location may use the resource with participants at that location.
The digital file may not be shared, emailed, uploaded or distributed to people outside the licensed household, team or location.
One purchase does not provide organization-wide or multi-site use. Use across multiple facilities, campuses, branches or physical locations requires additional licensing or written permission from Pause & Discuss. Please contact us for multi-site licensing options.
6. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, Pause & Discuss retains all intellectual property rights in its original written content, designs and resources.
Purchasing a resource gives you permission to use it according to the license above; ownership of the intellectual property is not transferred to the purchaser.
You may not resell, republish, commercially redistribute, publicly post, or upload Pause & Discuss resources for others to download.
You may not use substantial portions of a Pause & Discuss resource to create another product for sale or distribution.
Individual products may contain photographs, artworks, historical materials or other third-party or public-domain content. Rights in those materials remain with their respective rights holders where applicable.
7. Use of resources
Pause & Discuss resources are intended to support discussion, learning, recreation and group activities.
Facilitators are responsible for deciding whether a particular activity is appropriate for their participants and for adapting activities where necessary according to participants' ages, abilities, needs and circumstances.
Where activities involve craft materials, tools, movement, food or other practical activities, the purchaser or facilitator is responsible for providing appropriate supervision and following applicable safety procedures.
Pause & Discuss resources are not medical, therapeutic or clinical advice and are not a substitute for professional care or assessment.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
We aim to provide accurate, useful and thoughtfully prepared resources. However, we cannot guarantee that every resource will be appropriate for every participant, setting or purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pause & Discuss is not responsible for losses, injuries or damages resulting from the inappropriate use of a resource, failure to provide appropriate supervision, or modifications made to a resource by the purchaser or facilitator.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would not be permitted by law.
9. Changes to products and terms
Pause & Discuss may occasionally update, improve or discontinue products and may update these Purchase Terms & Conditions from time to time.
The license applicable to a product you have already purchased will not be materially reduced solely because these Terms are later updated.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the State of California, United States, without limiting any consumer rights that apply based on the purchaser's location.
